Building the Society of the Future
The Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises serves social enterprises throughout Finland. Our mission is to improve the business conditions for social enterprises, strengthen regional networks of social enterprises and the social economy, and promote the employment of people in a vulnerable labor market position.
The Centre’s operations are carried out during 2023-2027 through the ESR+-funded project “Improving the Business Conditions for Social Enterprises.”

We provide information, advice, and guidance to social enterprises and those establishing them.

Our regional staff will help you with questions regarding project planning, funding and initiation.
For Business Advisors
We provide information and training for business advisors on social entrepreneurship.
For Employers of People in vulnerable labor market positions
We provide information and advice on employing people with partial work ability or otherwise in a disadvantaged labor market position.
Information on Social Enterprises
There are at least 3,000 social enterprises in Finland, depending on the measurement method and definition, whose primary goal is positive social impact. What makes a social enterprise and what kind of issues can they solve?
Effective Models for Promoting Employment
The Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises aims to promote the employment of people in a vulnerable labor market position. As part of this task, the Centre collects, evaluates, and spreads good practices and models related to employment.
