Särö/Fracture programme, autumn 2022

SÄRÖ/FRACTURE is a programme (pre-incubator) where participants can clarify their early-stage idea for a societally impactful product or service and take it into practice.

What: The free two-month programme will consist of 19 workshops where participants will develop their idea into a concrete reality with the support of experts in sustainable entrepreneurship and social impact.

For whom:

Individuals or teams with a budding idea may apply for the programme. During the programme, the idea will grow into a social enterprise, a traditional company, an association, a cooperative, an experiment, or any other type of organized activity aimed at well-being and a sustainable society. You can apply with an idea whose activities or services are related to areas such as education, culture, climate change mitigation, or addressing social issues.

The programme is open to all ideas that intend to operate in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Some of the team members may live outside the region but it is expected that the idea being developed will be implemented in the metropolitan area. All workshops will be held in person, but we can arrange remote access in some cases, such as if a team member lives in another location.

Organizers: SÄRÖ/FRACTURE is organized by Helsinki Incubators (University of Helsinki) in collaboration with the Helsinki Think Company and YYO (The Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises). The programme is powered by the City of Helsinki. Participants in the programme need not be affiliated with the University of Helsinki.

Workshops:

The workshops will be held in central Helsinki approximately twice a week. The exact locations will be announced later.
