The Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises

The Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises provides guidance and advice to Finnish entrepreneurs and organisations that are involved in or starting up social business, regardless of the type of company or sector.

The centre of expertise is a part of the Finnish Government’s work ability programme and its employment measures package.

What we do?

  • launch nationwide counseling and guidance services
  • provide more solutions for scaling and commercializing social innovations
  • pilot incubator and accelerator operations as a network collaboration
  • create a roadmap for research and train new social entrepreneurship experts
  • scale effective models for employing people with partial work ability
  • open a new social enterprise data and statistics site

Who we are?

The centre of expertise is a collaborative network formed by six organisations working in the field of social enterprises: Arvo – the Finnish Association of Social Enterprises, Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, Rehabilitation Foundation, Pellervo Coop Center, Silta-Valmennusyhdistys and Vates Foundation.

Our experts are familiar with social entrepreneurship special features such as work integration, social innovations, impact management and social enterprise ownership structure and governance.
